French Floral SOLID Silver Art Nouveau Handle Umbrella Parasol Knob Pull Leaf

ABOUT:
Victorian French solid silver handle with Art Nouveau floral design.  I think it was originally a parasol or umbrella handle, judging by the small size - please note the dimensions, I think it's probably too small to serve as a cane handle as the opening isn't large enough to fit on a large staff to provide support, but still beautiful silver work, could possibly be a more petite decorative walking stick.  Still a usable antique item from the 1800s that would be beautiful on display or repurposed.
NO MONOGRAMS on it.
The handle is 3 inches in length by 1 3/4 from top to bottom.
MARKS:
Hallmarked for French silver with the weevil mark around the bottom rim, but I could not decipher the maker.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned with some age to them so they are in estate condition. There is a dark line along the top of the handle, either adhesive or discoloration from a rubber band (which leaves lines on sterling) that I could not get to polish out. Along with quite a few other areas of stubborn tarnish that will lighten with some more elbow grease : ) Some surface wear, scuffs and scratches, a few nicks, but it is still well shaped.  The original wood remains inside which would need to be removed in order to repurpose it.  An interesting piece from an interesting era that could be used for many years to come.
